reflection of excursion

The excursion was interesting for me, because it was my first time there. Through this excursion I have learnt more about Aboriginal culture and realised how important art is in their life. Art is written language to Aboriginal people and they use it to tell stories and to give information to their communities. There were many different art works with introductions in the gallery. My favorite piece of artwork is the ‘Fruit Bats’ which is a sculpture created by Lin Onus in 1991 in contemporary way. The art is made up of a flock of fiberglass sculptures of 99 bats hanging on a Hills Hoist clothes line. At the base of the Hills Hoist there are painted dots representing the bats’ droppings. Some people say it is a story about ‘when white people came and took all things Aboriginal people have got. They lost their land and homes then all Aborigines lived together in a crowd place with the mess. However, others say in deferent ways. Also the landscape of watercolour painting attracted my attention and they are symbolic. The artists painted them in modern style to make them more interesting. Unfortunately, the guide spoke too fast for me and I did not get much information to complete my worksheets. In my experience, it would have been beneficial if we have a more experience guide, because for most students English is not their first language. The excursion was fun and I took many pictures of art works.

Reflection of computing class

I am interested in this computing class. My computer skills are not really good so I need more lessons to improve them. Through these lessons my knowledge of computing has been improving. I learnt more skills of dealing with email which is very important for my future study. Also I have learnt many ways of using internet to communicate with others and know many different internet communication tools such as, tango and Skype which are use internet to speak with others and adobe connect is used as online meeting. I learnt how to create a blog and change the design of it, comment on the post of another blogger in my class and invite my classmate to my blog. These skills are basic and they are very useful in my daily life. This computing class’s level is suitable for me and it teaches me many things I did not learn before.
